How to use
Preparation: Before use, ensure the equipment or surface to be descaled is cool and the area is well-ventilated. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, goggles, and a face shield.
Dilution: Genscale 40 can be used undiluted for heavy scaling or diluted with water for lighter scaling. For most applications, dilute Genscale 40 with water in a ratio of 1:1 to 1:4 (1 part Genscale 40 to 1 to 4 parts water) depending on the severity of the scale.
Application: Apply the diluted solution to the affected area using a brush, sponge, or spray bottle. Ensure complete coverage of the scale build-up.
Agitation: For best results, gently agitate the solution using a brush or sponge to help loosen and lift the scale. Allow the solution to dwell on the surface for 10-15 minutes to maximise effectiveness.
Rinsing: Thoroughly rinse the treated area with clean water to remove all traces of the descaler and dissolved scale. Ensure no residue remains to prevent potential damage.
Inspection: After rinsing, inspect the surface to ensure all scale has been effectively removed. Reapply and repeat the process if necessary for stubborn deposits.
Post-Cleaning: Once descaling is complete, dry the surface with a clean cloth or allow it to air dry.
Safety Precautions: Always follow safety guidelines when handling phosphoric acid. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and clothing.
