Most people don’t see the value in using snow foam through and the added cost of buying a pressure washer in order to use it, and just see it as something to make your car look pretty. But snow foam is actually a lot more important than you think. WHAT IS SNOW FOAM?
Snow Foam Car Shampoo is a highly foaming shampoo that is designed to be used through a foam lance or pressure washer system. Most Snow Foams have a powerful foaming agent that helps product cling to the surface in order to lift all of the dirt and grime off your vehicles paintwork before you make contact with the vehicle using a sponge or wash mitt. It is otherwise known as the Pre Wash Stage.
Why is the pre wash stage so important? Well… the prewash is the most important part of the washing process because it helps to loosen all the fine contaminates on the vehicles surface that can cause swirl marks and scratches on the paint. Lots of contaminates build up on the surface of the paintwork during use that If not loosened can seriously damage your paintwork. These contaminants may not be visible to the human eye, which is why so many people think that they don’t need a pre wash.
A good snow foam will create a thick white layer of foam that covers the surface of the vehicle. Some poor quality snow foams will be watery and lightly concentrated. You want to look for a highly concentrated snow foam and use either a foaming lance or lance bottle. WHAT ELSE WILL YOU NEED?
A Pressure washer is key for any person looking to get the ultimate finish on their vehicle , but that won’t be enough on its own: you need a snow foam lance to generate the foam. These consist of a nozzle, a brass ‘body’ and a bottle to hold the solution, and will allow you to create a certain level of adjustablity for the spray pattern and the thickness of the foam. You can pick these items up online from anywhere from £15-50. We would recommend investing in a high quality lance as the quality of the foam generated will be a lot thicker and the lance will be more durable. But if you are looking to save some money then a budget foam lance should be able to do the job to a good standard.
USE A HIGH QUALITY SNOW FOAM
Finding a high quality snow foam is key when conducting a pre wash. Without a decent quality snow foam you might as well use a regular shampoo on your vehicle. You will then need to use a pressure washer or hose to remove the snow foam from the surface of the vehicle. You can then start the washing phase.
